Agricultural Power
With the addition of this class, came several changes to the curriculum. At Maroa Forsyth we have not offered Ag Power for several years, and a revamping and re-evaluation of the class was needed. As a department we will be focusing on the alternative powers, as the career opportunities have continued to grow and become higher demand. We will still address engines, electricity, and fuel energies, but new forms like wind, solar, chemical, and physical energies will be explored. Another addition is the focus on an OSHA 10 hour course of study that all students will be required to complete. This agricultural safety course is designed to help with SAE placement, job skills and securing, as well as the shop safety as we explore different energies.
Below is our Syllabi that we will work through, as well as a link to the OSHA website for further completion of assignments.
